Hello!

Thank you for visiting this site & taking an interest in your child's musical life! I am Meghan Groth, the current Music/Chorus Teacher at Beall Elementary School in Rockville, MD. I obtained both my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education from the University of Delaware. This is my fifth year teaching in MCPS and my third year as a music curriculum writer for the county. I have experience teaching infants to high school aged students, but have a special interest in the formative early childhood and elementary years. I believe all children are musical and it is my job as the music educator to help them explore their artistic potential. Above all, I want my students to have a positive experience with music and develop a desire to continue music making beyond the school setting. I hope this website will help bring some of what we do in the classroom home to you!

 

Beyond teaching, I am an active musician who performs with the Thomas Circle Singers in Washington DC. When I am not teaching or singing, I love traveling with my husband, training for races, and crafting!
